Salah Offers Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that Salah apologised to the group of players following the controversy from his recent interview.

Salah was left out from a vital match after voicing frustrations and stating his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

Arne Slot has previously declined to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Jones insisted that the team's response remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.

Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Positive Results

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. Jones believes the forward's comments were not designed to cause disruption.

“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, performing and on a positive run.”
